Okehampton – Devon

This was a collection of 3 fields that had been submitted into the West Devon District Council ‘call for sites’. However, it was rejected, and we were engaged to secure a consent by the owner. There followed a prolonged pre- app consultation during which we put forward a number of different plans including a mixture of housing and a school, a mixture of housing and a supermarket.

After about 4 years of negotiating the Local Authority gave way to a site for 50 houses on about 1/3^rd of the land and we submitted an application in 2016. Consent was finally given in 2018 and in Oct 2021 following considerable negotiation we sold the site to Persimmon.
