The engagement with the planning department was both lengthy and at times awkward. It resulted in the first application for 5 dwellings being refused. Seeking to reduce the impact and after more consultation with the planning department we submitted a scheme for 4 dwellings. This too was refused. We appealed both decisions which were submitted at the end of 2022. Three months later we received our ‘start letter’, and on 15th Nov 2023 we were granted permission for both proposals.

Our disposal strategy started immediately and by the end of Feb 2024 we had a number of interested parties, eventually settling on J W Stratton Ltd and contracts have been exchanged. It has been a difficult period where the market has gone against us, but we believe that we have achieved the best possible result for our clients
